Time to dust off the cobwebs

Oh my goodness, I really did not realize how long it has been since I posted on Brae's site. I'm sorry ya'll, Braelyn in real life keeps us really really busy. I'm glad his G-auntie Tam at least let you all know he is doing good.

Yes Braelyn started crawling FORWARD on January 1st. I guess it was his very own resolution. He had been pushing himself backward for about a month before he decided that going for something was better than backing up to it.

Not much has changed medically for our little miracle. He still wears a pulse ox at night and is still on oxygen at an 1/8 of a liter. He can go without it for as much as 5 to 6 hours a day, but still has to wear it when he sleeps. He had gotten himself up to 12 pounds 14 ounces but then caught the dreaded RSV virus and sadly we spent our 2nd Christmas in the hospital. He lost 11 ounces in 4 days.. but has since started to build it back. The hospital visit was horrible, (they always are) Brae has had his veins accessed so much that starting line on him is virtually impossible. He spent 5 days in the hospital and they never could get one going. Everytime the catheter was put in the vein would blow. They finally (Thank God) gave up. He is doing well on the Alimentum but still hasn't been able to get more than 100ccs at one setting. He still takes his reglan and still has some issues with reflux, but not nearly as bad as before. Eating orally is still a very slow process, but he's getting better. He now has two top teeth and four bottom teeth. He is such a happy baby and absolutely loves life. His smile is infectious!!

I think he is going to be an excellent drummer, his TT Cayla plays the drums and brae loves to sit on her lap and tap out his own tune!!

Well enjoy the pics...until next time......HUGS & HOPE....Granny
